What podcast-clipping ads say
We read the public ads of 15 podcast clipping tools and editing services in the Meta Ad Library and the Google Ads Transparency Center[1][2]: 2,031 ads, collected on 2026-09-30.
Method
- Sources: Meta Ad Library (United States, all statuses, plus a small set of EU/UK-delivered ads for the transparency data Meta publishes there) and Google Ads Transparency Center (region US, by domain)[1][2]. Collected through a third-party API on 2026-09-30.
- Advertisers were matched to brands by where their ads link (for example, ads linking to the brand's own domain).
- Days running: on Meta, start date to end date (or to the collection date for ads still active, so those are minimums). On Google, first shown to last shown, which doesn't prove the ad ran without gaps.

Which messages run longest on Meta
US Meta ads, 1,015 in total; the median ad ran 14 days. An "angle" is a phrase pattern matched in the ad's text. These are correlations within a small set, with brand effects mixed in.

|---|---|---|---|
| Free / free trial / no card | 421 | 8 | 21 vs 10 |

By format, image ads had a median of 23 days (142 ads), video 13 days (445) and dynamic-creative ads 13 days (425). Discount ads run short by design: they are time-boxed promotions.
What each kind of advertiser says
- AI tools mostly lead with a free start, speed ("minutes not hours", "1 click"), AI features and captions, and link to their homepage or a product page.
- Done-for-you services lead with "you record, we handle the rest", list their deliverables, state a turnaround, and often ask people to book a call (17 of Podcast Monkey's 21 Meta ads; all of Let's Do Podcast's).
- On Google, the software tools have kept search ads running for years. Of the done-for-you services, VidChops' Google ads stopped on 2026-01-14, Podcast Monkey had none active, Tasty Edits had one live ad, and We Edit Podcasts had one short-lived ad.
Who sees these ads
Meta discloses targeting only for ads delivered in the EU and UK, and then only age, gender and location. In the ads we checked, targeting was broad (all genders, ages 18–65, UK or worldwide). The delivered reach below shows who Meta's system chose to show them to in the EU/UK; it is not US data, and the samples for some brands are tiny.
| Brand | Ads | EU/UK reach | Men | Largest age bands |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| OpusClip | 3 | 1,017,540 | 75% | 25–34 34%, 35–44 23%, 18–24 21% |
